ZOLLAVERDE MIXTURE SEEDS FOR PRATO MACISTE WITH FESTUCA LOIETTO AND POA KG. 1

  • Mixture characterized by the permanent micro/macrothermal consociation, of shades dark green with coarse texture. Suitable for coastal and coastal areas in the area Mediterranean. Not suitable for shade. The mixture is characterized by the use of Bermuda Grass cultivars (Cynodon dactylon) of the latest generation, selected for the construction of fine turf in hot areas with poor irrigation regime and with maximum resistance to trampling. Carpet that at full maturity and development, has an excellent coverage that over time, thanks to the development of the grass improved, will tend to reach a state of compactness and density of large utility and with low costs. Tolerant to Summer Brown Spot and Spring Dead spot. Campsites, grassy car parks, roundabouts and road beds elect Royal Sea as the highest technical expression of reference.

Composition:

  • 40% Festuca arundinacea Inferno
  • 40% Festuca arundinacea Rebounder/Fat Cat
  • 10% Bermudagrass Royal Bengal
  • 10% Perennial Loietto Thrive/All Starter

Terrain

  • loose, warm and without water stagnation with neutral or sub-alkaline pH

Sowing period

  • from April to August. The mixture needs higher soil temperatures at 20 °C to allow the germinate of Bermudagrass (Cynodon) dactylon) contained

Recommended Dosage

  • 40-50 gr/mq. Maximum doses are recommended in case of late sowing and/or not perfect tillage of the seedbed

Cut

  • make the first cut when the carpet has reached 6 cm and bring it immediately at 4 cm, so as not to affect the germination of Bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon). Never remove more than 30% of the vegetation present. Don't get off under 40 mm. With the management of mowing above 60 mm, the carpet becomes only at coarser texture. If you want to stimulate more development of the Bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon) at the expense of the Festuca arundinacea, keep cutting under 25 mm with the use of helical machines

Nutrition

  • phosphate fertilization at planting and then subsequent management of the carpet with 25-35 nitrogen units sqm / year choosing specific fertilizers with controlled release. Schedule at least 4 annual fertilizations if you want to get a valuable carpet. In association with what has been said, it would be a good idea to perform fertilizations summer to stimulate the development of Cynodon with one or two interventions with materials rich in nitrogenous fraction

Irrigation

  • at the plant keep the seedbed constantly damp so as not to stop the germination process. In the summer season irrigate with 10 mm of water every 3 days. Be careful not to overdo it with water so as not to promote development of seasonal diseases

Phytostimulation

  • schedule at least 2 biostimulant treatments between July and August to increase the tolle ranza to the heat and trampling

Regeneration

  • regeneration can be performed in two different periods for two different purposes. At the end of summer to supplement the Festuca arundinacea by seeding with Royal Park in a dose of 35-40 gr / sqm, or at the end of spring (May) with Royal Sea in dose of 20-30 gr / sqm to reinforce the mixture with specific reference to the fraction of Bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon). In any case, you should always perform a light verticut with removal of felt before the seeding operations.
