AGAINST ANTS, CRILLOTALPS, STANDS AND LARVES OF TERRICLE INSECTS

Composition - Chlorpyrifos-ethyl 2.2%. Dry powder bait.
Characteristics - Ready-to-use insecticide designed for the fight against insects
terrestrial, especially those that live:
• mainly on the surface of the ground, such as ants and
grasshoppers. The ants nest in the most disparate places and, feeding
of sugary secretions (honeydew), can contribute to the spread
afi di and cochineals in the aerial parts of plants; grasshoppers
they gnaw the foliar apparatus making it skeletal;
• in the ground during the day, while at night they emerge in
surface and gnaw the collars of plants (eg larvae of Lepidoptera
Noctuids);
• constantly in the ground, like the larvae of the Elateridae Beetles,
of the Maggiolini and the Oziorrinchi, the Grillotalpa, the Miriapodi (Blaniuli
and Scutigerella), the larvae of Diptera (Phorbia, Bibionidi, Tipule). These
insects attack the root system and are particularly harmful
in the early development period of young seedlings.
In addition to the action by contact and asphyxia, the special attractive attractant
it confers to the product a remarkable efficacy by ingestion.
Intended use - Recommended for the protection of lawns
and floral and ornamental plants, both in the nursery and at home. Not to be
use on plants intended for food.
Methods and doses of use - Preferably in the evening, as it is
or mixed with sand or clay, distribute evenly at the dose of
20-25 grams per square meter, incorporating it into the ground with a processing
surface followed by light wetting. In the seedbeds,
apply 1-2 days before sowing. On the turf, distribute it
evenly without incorporating it into the ground, following only one
light watering. Against insects
which live mainly on the surface of the ground, it is recommended
to locate the product on nests, on infestation outbreaks and in places
more frequent passage.
To prevent the ants from rising on the plants, dust them
directly the basal part of the trunks creating a protective band
about 30-50 cm high.
For potted crops, distribute evenly a thin and uniform
layer of dust on the surface of the substrate.
In repotting or transplanting, mix the powder directly with the substrate
at the rate of 5 grams per 10 liters of soil.
