Composition - Refined mineral oil (unsulphonable residue above 95%) 70.0% (= 602 g / l);

Pure chlorpyrifos-methyl 5.0% (= 43 g / l) in concentrated emulsion.

Characteristics - Liquid insecticide with specific anti-cochineal action which is characterized by the simultaneous presence of two active components:

• highly refined mineral oil which, by coating the protective shields of adults and the chorion of eggs, causes the insect to die by suffocation. The high refinement of the oil allows it to be used even in full vegetation;

• chlorpyrifos-methyl which, in addition to enhancing the effectiveness of the mineral oil on adult forms and wintering eggs, is particularly active on nymphs of different ages.

Combining mineral oil with a phosphorganic insecticide is a common agronomic practice:

Linfa Anticocciniglia Plus, containing the two active ingredients in the right proportion, prevents the risk of mixing problems at the time of use and dosage errors.

Doses and methods of use - ml. 8-10 diluted in 1 liter of water. Dilute the indicated dose in a little water and, still stirring, bring to the required volume. Evenly spray all the vegetation, even inside the canopy, with a sprayer, backpack pump or other suitable sprinkler. It should be noted that dead scale insects can adhere to the vegetation even for a few weeks.

Compatibility - Not compatible with sulfur-based formulations (including polysulphides) whose treatments must be spaced at least 2 weeks apart.

Phytotoxicity - Do not apply when the temperature is below 5 ° C and above 30 ° C, when there is a risk of rain and when humidity above 90% is expected in the next 36-48 hours. Sprinkle on dry leaves. Do not apply when the crop is in a state of water stress: in this case, water before spraying. During the summer season it is advisable to observe intervals of at least 2 weeks between treatments. Do not apply when flowering. Given the large number of species and varieties, preliminary tests are recommended; in any case we do not recommend the applications on maple in vegetation (particularly the red one), ferns, conifers (in particular the bluish-gray ones - such as Picea Pungens “Glauca”) because they could irreversibly lose their characteristic color.
