- The GARDENA 1600S splitting ax is particularly suitable for splitting firewood. The blade has a special non-slip coating for better penetration into the wood and the special geometry of the blade adapts to any job. The PA fiber reinforced handle makes it light and sturdy. Better penetration into the wood near the cutting head for optimal weight distribution and cutting force. Hammer function to make the best use of the splitting wedges (not for steel wedges). The combination of the special shape of the cutting head and the light handle offers an effective cut and guarantees more power to make work easier.
