"BROGIO" concerns a flexible cutting unit for brushcutters with which to cut and crush grasses, shrubs, bushes and brambles, to be used in the field of gardening, agriculture and forestry.

"Brogio" was born from a great idea of Brogi Loriano who, working in the agricultural sector at a professional level, decided to create a universal brushcutter head capable of satisfying all his needs on cutting and cleaning jobs.
Initially Brogi created by himself the first prototype of "Brogio", a prototype that he needed to test its resistance, duration, effectiveness and to understand what still could be improved by eliminating all the defects of the already known heads.
When he arrived at what is also the current head, he decided to work alongside technicians and experts in the sector and was therefore able to perfect this tool in order to make it capable of cutting and crushing herbs and shrubs, even if resistant, quickly and effective, with a considerable saving of time and money if compared with the use of heads with nylon thread or with blades already on the market. Brogi Loriano has calculated that "Brogio", allowing uninterrupted work (if the normal refueling is not taken into account), can save around 20.00 € uro of nylon thread and 30 € uro of labor ... AL DAY! and this will be better understood by those who work with these tools on a professional level, 8 hours a day.
"Brogio" was conceived, studied and built within a farm to meet its needs.
Until 2001 Brogi Loriano, working on the estate of his company, 25 hectares distributed in spectacular terraces partly in stone and partly in earth, cannot work with tractors or lawn mowers due to the morphology of the land. He was therefore forced to use the brush cutter with nylon line heads alternating with those with discs to clean up the ground. He did it twice a year to prevent the grass from becoming too hard and difficult to cut by the line, moreover he had to bear a daily cost of 20.00 € uro of line, stop altogether for 2 hours a day and change often. head alternating the one flush with the one with discs. Since "Brogio" arrived, Loriano Brogi cleans up his land only once a year, and now he has forgotten all the inconveniences he had before.
Word of the expert farmer Brogi Loriano:
"Those who use" Brogio "will never use nylon thread again .."

One purpose of "BROGIO" is the realization of a cutting means, of easy production and low cost, suitable to be applied on the head of any brush cutter tool.
Another purpose of the present invention is the realization of a cutting means capable of cutting very resistant shrubs, shoots and brambles and at the same time that is flexible in order not to cause sudden impacts on the brushcutter shaft and its rebounds, therefore capable of bending itself on resistant bodies and at the same time cutting and crushing shrubs and other around them, even when hard and resistant.
The invention that has made it possible to achieve these results takes the form of a flexible cutting unit consisting of a plate with the hole in the center for its anchoring to the motorized rotating unit of the brush cutter and in proximity to its contour, in symmetrical positions, means and in particular, bolts removably combined with sections of metal chain intended to operate as cutting means.
Such an invention is particularly advantageous since it is simple to manufacture, low cost and requires minimal maintenance.
It is advantageous since its elements periodically
coupons can be replaced with new ones,
keeping it in a state of high efficiency with a minimum cost. It is advantageous because the sections of the chain acting as cutting means are flexible, therefore they allow the cutting and crushing of shrubs, buds and herbs also around the roots of plants, such as olive trees, and even those born close to walls or between a stone and the other of dry stone walls.
