Alga Fe is a liquid product which, due to the presence of concentrated extracts of marine algae of the Laminaria digitata genus, and the high iron content, is particularly suitable for preventing and treating numerous physiopathies deriving from the unavailability of this element. At the base of the product there is a high supply of alginates (for a better conveyance of iron inside the leaf), vitamins and oligosaccharides (to increase resistance to environmental and physiological stress). Alga Fe is used by foliar application in the treatment of plants suffering from ferric chlorosis, a physiopathy that manifests itself with the internerval yellowing of the leaves, a poor coloration of the flowers, a limited development of the shoots, the presence of small and not very juicy fruits, with consequent production of poor quality and quantity. Iron, in fact, although used only in small quantities by plants, represents a vital element, as a constituent of various enzymes (cytochromes, catalases, etc.) that regulate redox processes, such as respiration, photosynthesis and the reduction of nitrates and sulfates. Furthermore, in the absence or deficiency of iron, chlorophyll does not form. The diagnostic characters of iron deficiency can be detected by observing the ribs of the reticulum of the younger leaves which clearly contrast, due to the green color, from the remaining leaf tissue which progressively yellow with the accentuation of chlorosis, up to albinism. Alga Fe is used at any time of the year, as long as the crops are in full vegetative activity.
