Technical features:

• Binders for tying BELI screws
• Version with normal handle, it is built as up to now and also in the future
• Version with narrower handle, it has been built since March 1997 and is marked on the control handle with a "1" next to the BELI Binder engraving. The "1" mark is also affixed in felt-tip pen to the package.
• The narrower grip was developed following suggestions from customers (primarily women who often don't have big hands). The opening at the end of the two red handles for tool 1 is approximately 12 mm narrower.
• This tool has so far been requested very often by both women and men.
• Weight of the binding tool with full wire spool approx. 460 grams.
• The tying tool can be used with bare hands or, to protect the hands from cold or dirt, wearing gloves.
• The device is easy to handle and can be used without problems even in wet weather conditions.
• The working time for the binding of one hectare, starting from 4500 vine stocks with 2 vines for each vine resulting in 9000 bindings amounts to about 16 hours.
• Not much force is required to use the tying tool.
• The work is almost fatigue-free thanks to a tension-free body position.
• An important factor is highlighted in the context of the cutting of the screw, in fact it is no longer necessary to cut the binding of the screw, as usual for other binding materials. This saves two scissors cuts for each vine stock and also protects the scissors blades since no wire or metal is cut.
• The Beli Screw Binding Tool is also used by many customers to join the slightly distorted collection wires between the support posts. The advantage of this is constituted by the detail that the binding is applied by observing a distance of about 8 - 10 cm between the two metal wires. Thanks to this distance, which can only be achieved with the Beli screw tying tool, the foliage is not excessively crushed in this area. The crushing of the foliage causes in this area a lack of good ventilation which can result in growth disturbances and diseases. The binding is loosened by tugging on the stop wire.
• BELI wire binding for the BELI screw binding tool
• The metal wire for tying is a special slightly galvanized wire so that the wire for tying does not cause the vineyard wire to rust during the year, with the consequence that after a couple of years the winegrower finds himself with wire completely rusted clamps in the vineyard. As is well known, young shoots are subject to abrasion caused by the rusty clamping wires when exposed to the action of the wind, which leads, if used the following year, to breaking due to bending.
• The binding material (special metal wire) is composed of iron, which is an ecological material, since, unlike synthetic materials, it decomposes after about a year in the soil without leaving any residue. Think of the example of the iron garden fence, where, after rusting, everything disappears without any residue.
• Beli wire for tying exists as standard with the diameter of 0.40mm. There are also 0.45mm and 0.50mm thicker Beli ligating wires, which are marked on the package with their diameter measurement. The 0.45 mm Beli wire for tying is used more and more frequently in places exposed to the wind, in the case of tightening wires subject to an onset of rusting or for types characterized by dense density. The 0.50mm Beli binding wire is used very little.

Caution:

• on Beli wire spools with a larger diameter, due to the increased thickness there are no 80 meters of wire on the spool.
• About 80 meters of binding wire are wound on a spool of Beli wire. About 800 - 1000 bindings can be made with a coil of wire.
• When purchasing binding material for the Beli screw binding tool, it is absolutely advisable to make sure that the yellow Beli sticker from the Seibert company is present on the packaging, since only with this sticker is the original Beli screw binding wire. As many customers already know, there are in the meantime some dealers who offer a cheaper wire that does not correspond to the quality of the original, which has negative effects on the functioning and wear of the Beli screw binding tool.
• From experience I know of examples where customers were angry with the Beli screw tying tool as it didn't work. In the presence of the customer I was able to immediately ascertain that the wire for tying was not from Beli, which the customer did not want to believe when I told him. I inserted an original Beli wire spool into the Beli Screw Binding Tool and the Beli Screw Binding Tool started working perfectly again.
• In the case of previously the customer does not get upset about the poor quality of the wire for tying, as he is not aware of this circumstance, but only blames the Beli screw tying tool.
