LYMPH ROOT GR. 50 ROOTING AGENT FOR BULBOSE TALEE AND SEEDS
Composition - NAA (alpha-naphthyl acetic acid) 0.5% in dry powder.
Characteristics - Plant growth regulator that exerts a strong rooting action of the cuttings (leaf, stem
and root), of the layering and offshoots.
How to use
Cutting - Immerse the base of the cuttings in water to a depth of 2-3 cm. Eliminate excess water (the cuttings must remain just moist). Dip the moistened base in the rooting powder to make a small part adhere, eliminating any excess. Arrange the cutting in the usual way in the development flower beds, taking care not to remove the applied dust.
Margotta - For a short distance, the leaves are removed from the portion of the selected branch or stem. A bark ring is taken or a split incision is made which must be kept open with a wad of sphagnum soaked in water. Using a brush, the rooting powder is applied to the moistened part, eliminating any excess. The area of the stem thus prepared is wrapped in a plastic sleeve, securing it well to the base with rafi a and filling it with sphagnum or peat. A moderate but constant humidity must be maintained in the sleeve, wetting through the upper opening which must also allow air to circulate. After a certain period, the new subject reaches full functional autonomy (confirmed by the formation of roots and the emission of new shoots) and is taken with a clean cut. Offshoot - A young branch is identified, long enough to be delicately curved at ground level and all the leaves are eliminated except for those "at the apex". At the point of contact with the ground, under a knot, a vertical cut is made, or an annular incision, which also affects the tissues underlying the cortex. Rooting powder is applied to the incision. The branch is bent, buried with fresh and light soil to a depth of about 5-10 cm and fixed with U-shaped irons. The branch is supported by a stake. The seedling, which has become completely autonomous, can then be separated from the mother plant and transplanted.
