BAYER INSECTICIDE MOVENTO LT. 1

Movento is the first insecticide with a double system and represents a real revolution and substantial progress in the fight against many insects harmful to crops, including: pear psylla, fruit aphids and scale insects, vine scale insects, aphids and whiteflies of horticultural crops.

The systemic insecticides available up to now spread in the plant acropetically (from bottom to top) through the xylem; Movento is the first insecticide that also spreads through the phloem, therefore both in an ascending and descending sense.

Movento, based on Spirotetramat, acts mainly on the juvenile stages of insects, preventing the completion of the moult. The new mechanism of action ensures high efficacy even on insects that are difficult to control with other products.

Movento acts by ingestion and has no contact action. The insecticidal activity occurs only after the foliar absorption and the penetration of the product into the leaf tissues, where the insects find nourishment.

Main benefits

The high mobility offered by the double system allows to protect all the organs of the plant: young and already developed leaves, buds, fruits and even the roots. This allows a more prolonged protection of all the vegetation, both of that present at the time of treatment and of that which will develop subsequently, regardless of the position of the treated area.

These characteristics of superior efficacy are combined with selectivity for useful arthropods (predators and parasitoids of harmful insects) and the favorable eco-toxicological and residual profile.

Advice for correct use

Do not apply Movento 48 SC with ultra-low volume sprayers.

Carry out an accurate and uniform wetting of all the vegetation to ensure adequate foliar absorption.

Avoid treatments with scarce vegetation and in periods of reduced vegetative activity.

As with most insecticides, flowering treatments are prohibited.

Given the large number and the continuous introduction of new varieties of horticultural crops, it is advisable to make preliminary selectivity tests on some plants before treating the whole crop.

Miscibility

Movento should be used alone.

It is possible to add Oliocin in the following cases:

apple tree: against scale insects and eriosome, at the maximum concentration of 0.4%;

pear: against psylla and scale insects, at the maximum concentration of 0.25%;

grapevine and citrus fruits: against scale insects, at a maximum concentration of 0.25%.
