WHAT ARE MYCORRHIZAE?

• Mycorrhiza is the symbiotic association between the roots of plants (agrarian and forest) and some soil fungi.
• Both benefit from mycorrhication: the fungus colonizes the roots of the plant, providing it with mineral nutrients and water that it absorbs from the soil through its outer network of hyphae, while the plant provides the fungus with root exudates.
• As a result of internal colonization, the hyphae of the fungus can grow externally at the root of the plant to the ground (external mycelium) and explore a volume of soil inaccessible to the roots. In this way the plant increases considerably its absorption surface, from 100 to 1000 times, and consequently its ability to absorb nutrients and water.

• Dose per hectare: 1-2 kg depending on the crop.
• Dose per 1000 m²:
• - vegetables under greenhouse: 150-200 g/1000 m²

FRUIT GROWING

• - apple tree, pear tree: 1-2 kg/ha
• - vineyard: 1-2 kg/ha
• The application of fungicides and phosphate chemical fertilizers can slow down the development of mycorrhiza.
