Description
OPINEL INOX EFFILES N. 8 WALNUT HANDLE
TECHNICAL FEATURES
- The classic version of Opinel walnut
- Sandvik stainless steel
- Sandvik modified 12C27 stainless steel developed for Opinel is known for its cutting edge and ease of maintenance. Stainless steel capable of undergoing heat treatment which gives it its good hardness is called martensitic. It has a carbon content of at least 0.40%, which makes it possible to obtain a very satisfactory cutting edge without being subject to corrosion.
- To handle
- Walnut is a French wood. Brown sometimes tending to yellow or gray, it is often dark veined.
- Safety ring
- Invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel the Virobloc team safety ring for all locking knives from N ° 06. Intercepted by stainless steel, Virobloc consists of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safety of use), it is now possible to lock the blade in the closed position (transport lock).
