The stainless steel capable of heat treatment it undergoes from which it takes its good hardness is called martensitic. It has a carbon content of at least 0.40%, which allows to obtain a very satisfactory cut without being subject to corrosion.
Sleeve
The charm comes from French farms. It is a white wood with little grain, ideal for applying color without denaturation. The handle is painted to be better protected against moisture and dirt.
Safety ring
Invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel, the Virobloc safety ring team to close all knives from No. 06. Cutting from stainless steel, Virobloc consists of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade in the closed position (transport protection).
