SODIUM CARBONATE
Sodium carbonate to be used exclusively for cellar hygiene.
Technical features:
Sodium carbonate powder ideal for cellar hygiene, in fact it can be used to clean and disinfect containers for musts and wines. Sodium carbonate is a sodium salt of carbonic acid. Sodium carbonate has long been called soda, but it is not to be confused with caustic soda. This clarification is made necessary because today the term soda means sodium hydroxide (caustic soda).
SODIUM CARBONATE at room temperature appears as a white crystalline powder. On heating it tends to decompose, releasing gaseous carbon dioxide (calcination). Dissolved in water, it produces a basic solution; a solution of 50 g in a liter of water at 25 ° C has a pH of 11.5.
The use of Sodium Carbonate facilitates the cleaning of even very dirty surfaces.
