Sandvik stainless steel
Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel modified developed for Opinel is renowned for its cutting edge and ease of maintenance. The stainless steel capable of heat treatment it undergoes from which it takes its good hardness is called martensitic. It has a carbon content of at least 0.40%, which allows to obtain a very satisfactory cut without being subject to corrosion.
Poliglace shovel finish (mirror)
The blade has a polyglace finish, double polishing provides a mirror effect.
