• A knife of character and exception
• The N°08 Amaranto Black version is equipped with an amaranth handle, a precious wood from the north of South America (Brazil, Guyana).
• To nourish the wood and achieve a glossy and silky finish, the handle is polished by applying a wax with a cotton disc.

• Stainless steel blade and safety collar are characterized from a black surface treatment that goes perfectly with the purple shade characteristic of amaranth. Color changes with time taking on an increasingly darker appearance.

• Supplied in a case complete with special instructions.

Acier Inoxydable

• Sandvik's modified 12C27 stainless steel developed for Opinel is known for its cutting and easy maintenance. The capable stainless steel to undergo the heat treatment that gives it its excellent hardness is called Martensitic. It has a carbon percentage of at least 0.40% this allows to obtain a very satisfactory cut without being sensitive to corrosion. Blade hardness 57-58 HRC

Handle

• The handle of this knife is amaranth. A precious wood from the north of the south America, is recognizable by its purple hue that will evolve over time becoming darker and darker, offering a dense color.

Matte black blade

• This black blade has a matte effect and is more resistant to corrosion than a traditional stainless steel blade. This blade is more sensitive to the risk of scratches, be careful not to use abrasive products or sponges to clean it.

Safety ring

• Virobloc in stainless steel, with specific surface treatment that allows you to increase corrosion resistance. This treatment is sensitive to scratches, be careful not to use abrasive sponges or abrasive products during cleaning.
