TECHNICAL FEATURES

• OUR GELCOAT is formulated based on orthophthalic resins which give the product good resistance to atmospheric agents and light.
• it is the ideal product for general uses, in the case of artifacts not subjected to critical operating conditions: minor boating, bodywork, casings, tanks for agriculture.
• it is already accelerated it is catalyzed with MEKP (methylethyl ketone peroxide) in a percentage from 1.5% to 2% and o thickness must be between 0.4 and 0.9 mm. 600-900 g / m2.
• Paraffin gelcoat: the paraffin solution is used in addition to a gelcoat or to a resin in general to reduce external surface oxidation which makes the fiberglass product "sticky" even after complete polymerization. it is added to a gelcoat in the maximum percentage of 2% in order not to deteriorate its characteristics.
• adding paraffin to the gelcoat requires good stirring for correct dispersion of the material. it is therefore necessary to mix the paraffin gelcoat first before adding the catalyst.
