Mint is a perennial herbaceous plant, stoloniferous, strongly aromatic, with a typical pungent and spicy flavor, which belongs to the Labiate family (Lamiaceae). It grows massively throughout Europe, Asia and Africa and prefers both full sun and half shade locations, but can also withstand low temperatures. Well known since the time of the Egyptians and Romans, it was used by Galen as a medicinal plant.

Easy to grow, it prefers a slightly shady and humid area.
