Pyrethroid insecticide widely known and appreciated for its characteristics of effectiveness and reliability, Karate © is available from this year also in the new formulation Karate © with Zeon Technology 1.5 with a reduced concentration of Lambdacialothrin.

With the positive characteristics of the active ingredient Lambda-cyhalothrin, this formulation combines the advantages of the established Zeon technology and use without the need for a license.

The Lambdacialotrina

Lambdacialothrin, active by contact and ingestion, is one of the most effective active substances against insects with chewing and stinging-sucking mouthparts: Aphids, Thrips, Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, Bedbugs, Whiteflies, Tentredini.

It quickly penetrates inside the insect's cuticle, inhibits nerve conduction within minutes causing cessation of trophic activity, loss of muscle control, paralysis and therefore the death of the target insect. It is also characterized by a strong repellent action.

Cutting-edge technology

The result of an intense research lasting 10 years, Zeon Technology allows to incorporate the lambdacialothrin inside nanocapsules which guarantee a high stability.

With an average diameter of 10 times smaller than conventional encapsulated insecticides and thanks to their thin wall, the nanocapsules quickly release the active substance (killing effect) as soon as the drop dries on the treated surfaces to which they adhere very firmly.

Karate © with Zeon Technology 1.5 is registered on over 60 different extensive and specialized crops or groups of crops and for the control of more than 25 pests. It is particularly suitable for vegetable crops with suitable doses also for use on limited surfaces.

Important news for 2009 are the registration in the greenhouse for solanaceae (tomato, aubergine and pepper), cucurbits (melon, courgette, watermelon and cucumber) and the extension of use on all salads in the open field.

On corn the Diabrotica as a new field of use, with a reduced interval of only 7 days.

Greater safety and ease of use

The particular formulation in nanocapsules of Karate © with Zeon Technology 1,5 guarantees greater safety for the operators both during the handling and the distribution of the formulation. Its toxicological classification (Xi - irritant) allows it to be purchased and used without the need for a license.
