BAYER CALYPSO SYSTEMIC INSECTICIDE BASED ON Thiacloprid ML. 500
- NEW: on 10 April Bayer obtained final authorization to use Calypso against:
- Halyomorpha halys (Asian bedbug) on stone fruit and apple trees, adding to the pear tree extension obtained in 2016

- Calypso is a thiacloprid-based insecticide; it is characterized as the first among the neonicotinoids to have a marked activity on carpocapsa, cidia and anarsia and an excellent efficacy also on aphids, microlepidoptera and whiteflies.
- Calypso has a contact, ingestion activity and is translaminar, systemic and acropetal. The product acts on the nervous system of insects and has fields of use in the defense of fruit, horticultural, floral and ornamental crops.
- Main benefits
- The product has proved to have a great flexibility of use, characterized by a simultaneous action on the egg and on the larva.
- Thanks to the prompt action it reduces the wandering period of the larvae and consequently the erosion of the fruits. For the defense against carpophagous moths, it is recommended to intervene using the product on both the first and second generation.
- Calypso is selective towards pollinating insects (bees and bumblebees).
